Medium: Digital, Watercolour, Magazines, and Marker

These pieces were completed in Second Year Illustration. The project focused on testing different mediums for the student's exploration of new tools and their capabilities within art. The professor aims to steer away from specializing in just one medium, but to use different mediums altogether. All the images were sketched with live models, then rendered through digitally to create silhouettes with accurate body proportions.

I chose to do digital and watercolour because those methods were previously my weakest mediums. However, through this assignment, I found a new love for these two mediums. Watercolour has taught me to always let go. It may not be perfect, and you probably can't correct it, but you can add onto the mistake and illustrate an intentional design element. While, digital drawing has taught me to always save my file before opening several tabs or else you'll end up with disappointment.
